Memo / Tag
An extra number or note used when sending some cryptos like XRP or XLM.
A memo or tag is a small note or number you add when sending crypto —
it helps the exchange know which account the funds belong to.
You’ll see it used with coins like XRP, XLM, or EOS.
Without it, your deposit can get lost or delayed.
Example
When sending XRP to an exchange, you’ll need:
- The XRP address
- The Destination Tag (like 1234567)
Both are required.
💡 Lanzo Tip
Always copy both the address and the memo/tag
exactly as shown by the exchange — one missing number can lose your funds 🔒
